What Happens When I Switch To Amsoil?
When you switch to Amsoil synthetic oil...Your Car Gets A New Lease On Life. You will be treating
your engine and drive train to the finest lubrication money can buy.
Higher Engine RPMS: Because Amsoil synthetic motor oil generates less intrafluid friction...than
conventional oils do...engine bearings rotate more easily with Amsoil in the engine. It's more bang for your buck.
For a given amount of energy...a bearing that moves easily rotates faster than one that doesn't move freely.
Increased Fuel Efficiency...More Power: Less intrafluid friction to overcome...translates into fuel savings as
less energy is required to overcome the friction required to move the vehicle a given distance. Average increase

Spring Cleaning: Synthetic oils clean as they go, removing sludge and deposits left by the previous oil.

Start up the engine and let run for about 15-20 minutes...this will clean the crankcase, cylinder walls,
pistons and rings (then drain your oil) preparing your engine for the new Amsoil synthetic oil and oil filter!

I changed my 99 Chevy Van over to Amsoil at around 66,000 miles...with no problems. On the other hand
I had a 1987 Oldsmobile/Regency with the 3800 engine...I changed over to Amsoil at 180,000...and I had to
change the oil filter a couple times the first year. I was not aware of the engine flush at the time.
I purchased a 1999 Buick/Regal (summer of 2006) with the 3800 engine...it had 94,000 miles on it.
I changed over to the Amsoil "2000 series 0W-30 synthetic oil" and the new EAO Oil filter that has the
new "nanotech synthetic fibers" in them...(will retain more sludge/debris without plugging)...ran the oil
and filter a year without having to change it. I may have added a 1/2 quart of oil in between.
Had I known about the engine flush...I would have flushed all three vehicles.
I also changed the transmission fluid the very first week I had the car...added Amsoil automatic
transmission fluid. I like to take both vehicles to my local Chevrolet Dealer...they have the machine that
does a complete flush of the transmission. Don't waste your time just dropping the transmission oil
pan and then adding a few quarts of transmission fluid...60% of the old oil will still be in the transmission!
Easier Cold Starting: Less prone to low temperature gelling...Amsoil synthetic motor oils allow engines
to turn over easily in colder temperatures than conventional oils do. In fact...most Amsoil users find they no
longer need block heaters!
Lower Operating Temperatures: Oil sump temperatures may run as much as 20 degrees cooler with
Amsoil than they do with conventional oils. Friction generates heat...and since Amsoil synthetic oils generate
less intrafluid friction...(and wear) than other oils do...they also generate less heat.
Amsoil synthetic oils are better heat transfer agents than conventional oils are. Synthetic lubricant
molecules allow heat to swirl away from hot surfaces and into the core of the oil stream. It's called
"turbulent flow."
Rigid...conventional oil molecules on the other hand...move heat along hot surfaces. The surface of the
oil film gets overburdened with heat...while the core of the oil stream gets a free ride. It's not an efficient
system...because it keeps engine and drive train surfaces hotter than they would be with synthetics.
The Bottom Line Is...Amsoil Synthetic Oil...Gives Your Vehicles Engine And Drive Train...
