Original Motor Statistics

Below are pictures of my 1999 Chevy Express 5.7 liter...350 gasoline engine.
I sent the engine to Amsoil Inc for analysis...they in turn sent the engine to an
independent machinist in December 2007.

Analysis showed the problem with the engine was a valve keeper wore out!
Causing the valve to become wedged in the chamber.

The problem with the engine was not oil related.  Measurements taken against
the manufacturer's specifications...show the engine is still in useable condition!

Below are the measurements taken during analysis of my 1999 Chevy Express
5.7 liter...350 gasoline engine...
by an independent machinist in December of 2007.

Keep in mind...I changed the engine oil every 35,000 miles the first 700,000 miles!
Then I switched to changing my engine oil every 25,000 miles whenever Amsoil came
out with the 25,000 mile oil filter...before that I was changing my oil filter every 11,700 miles!

This engine had well over 6,000 hours of idle time...due to my sitting and waiting
to pick up another delivery.  In the heat of the summer...I would idle the engine with
the AC running to cool the inside of the vehicle...and in the winter time I would idle
the engine with the heater running to warm the inside of the vehicle.

In each of five categories...the engine tested within 1 percent of manufacturer's
original specifications for the engine. (See chart below)
